"Free" Open-Air Dance Event in Otley
This event will be run similar to an Andre Rieu open-air concert as seen on television
To be held on Sunday 7th August 2022
From 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm
On the Plaza immediately outside Buon Apps riverside Italian Restaurant 50 Mill Lane Otley LS21 1FE
If you are thinking of wanting a meal at Buon Apps Restaurant, please book well in advance they are often fully booked
Two! Free car parks 200yds away, (one below the other) on Court House Street and off Bridge Street.
Just find the river and you have found the event.
Ballroom, Latin and Popular Sequence Dancing - maybe even a bit of Salsa too!
We are fitting a wooden dance floor outside for you to dance on for those with proper dance shoes if you haven’t you can still enjoy the dancing on the large paved area. Regular dancers from near or far are essential so, please come along and promote dance while at the same time enjoying a fabulous free day of dance.
Spectators you are very welcome indeed, everyone, dancers, and spectators please bring your folding garden chairs so that
you can stay as long as you want, and enjoy watching, listening or joining in dancing.
The event is completely free of charge.
We have chosen Macmillan Cancer to make a collection, anything you choose to give will be greatly and truly appreciated.
We don’t want to be involved with the money side of things so, “Otley Macmillan Cancer Support” have kindly agreed to collect voluntary donations on the day of the event.
Our aim is to give everyone who attends the best time ever so,

Something for the whole family
Bring the whole family along for a great day out.
Wooden floor on the Plaza outside Buon Apps restaurant while you dance your family members could if they want to take afternoon tea in the beer garden, and watch the ducks, swans, and boats gently gliding by on the river.
Excitingly on the opposite side of the river a short walk away is Wharfe Meadows Park, with beautiful gardens, a large adventure playground, swings and roundabouts, adventure climbing frames, an ice cream parlour for the kids, a café for mum and a bowling green for grandad plus a dedicated skate board area too, there is something for all the family young or old.
Not only that, the dance venue is just 100 yds from the Otley beautiful nature reserve with short and long walks to explore. So, while you dance others can have fun in the park and nature reserve.

Otley is situated in beautiful countryside and has a camp site, just on the side of the Chevin less than a mile from the dance venue (01943 876 300) opposite the camp site is Chevin end pub (01943 876 109) behind which is the Chevin end B&B (01943 876 845) all of which have gorgeous views over the Wharfe Valley with glorious walks and are in easy reach of Harry Ramsdens world famous, now beautifully restored Wetherby Whaler fish restaurant.
